In honor of Cathy Yura’s 40 plus years of service at WVU, WVU Collegiate Recovery and West Virginia Sober Living have awarded 8 students in recovery with $1,000 scholarships since 2020. Interested students are strongly encouraged to get involved with Collegiate Recovery and our student organization Mountaineers for Recovery. Active engagement and service in our recovery community is the most significant consideration for this scholarship.

George Daugherty Scholarship

In honor of one of our founding community members, George Daugherty, WVU Collegiate Recovery will award a student with $500 scholarship at our Graduation Celebration in May. Interested students are strongly encouraged to get involved with Collegiate Recovery and our student organization Mountaineers for Recovery. Active engagement and service in our recovery community is the most significant consideration for this scholarship. Applications are due by 2/28/25.
