Mountaineers for Recovery is a student-led organization focused on supporting WVU students in recovery.

Who We Are

  • Mountaineers For Recovery (M4R) is a WVU student organization that supports those in and/or seeking recovery.
  • This community offers a safe environment for students free from all drugs, including alcohol.

What We Do

  • Cultivate togetherness to enhance supportive networks.
  • Raise awareness of recovery-related issues in the community.
  • Provide information to students and promote student involvement with WVU Collegiate Recovery programming and events.

How We Do It

  • Community outreach and advocacy to increase awareness.
  • Meditation, recovery support groups, yoga classes, outdoor trips with Adventure WV and more.
  • We're located at Serenity Place and hold virtual meetings every Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Who Can Attend?

To attend M4R activities or be a part of the organization, you do not need to be in recovery.

We strongly encourage students who would like to serve as allies of those who are in recovery to participate as well!
